ADS Hiatus (January 25, 2019)

Happy New Year!

First off, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. It means the world to me to know that people support and care for our work so much. I won’t take up too much of your precious time and give it to you straight:

ADS has to go on an official hiatus.

Why? Two reasons.

One of the two remaining founding members, Egle Dilyte has quit.

2. We’re kind of.. developmentally…

budgetarily…

...restricted.

For now!

So, what does this mean for the games? During the “official” hiatus…

  • TTEOTS is on pause. It will not have any further releases for now.

  • Shipping out crowdfunding physical rewards will be paused.

  • Customer support will be largely paused.

  • Social media interaction will continue to be decreased for the moment.

This is pretty much the equivalent of when your phone goes on “battery save mode” to conserve power and closes apps, and limits access to functionalities. My intention is to focus on the things I can do, such while cutting off anything that would interfere with that, and to put the completion of remaining obligations first. It’s my hope that we can financially recuperate during this period while I sort out the exact manner in which the company will continue.

What WILL still happen is…

  • Work on Mystic Destinies: Echoes has to be transferred and continued to be worked on by the two remaining writers, Jacqueline Rivera and myself, Ajané J.K. Celestin. It will take us some time to examine the incompleted work and decide what needs to be done.

  • To the Edge of the Sky: Chapter 04, Four’s POV, and Three’s character art update will be released as soon as it becomes financially feasible. The Chapter was already done, so it’s just gotta be released. Five, whom was the final art update and who was 75% completed when the budget hit a low point, may still release during this period.

This is a difficult period for the company, and as the leader, I have much to carefully think on in how and in what direction to move from here on. I appreciate your continued patience while I figure things how. I am predicting for us to remain in this “mode” for at least until sometime in March 2019. For now, please enjoy our massive sale.

It’s a rough road for an indie, but thank you for having confidence in me as I plan to take over the majority of the work. I will continue to keep you posted as I figure things out.
