Mystic Destinies: Echoes, Interview #2: Aurelia, the Sylph

As part of our promotions for the upcoming release of Mystic Destinies: Echoes, the spin-off sequel to Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons (available for Android, Itch, Steam and soon to be iOS), we've got our second interview up on the blog. First up is Aeon Dream's newest writer, Jacqueline Rivera speaking about the returning character from Takumi's route, now as the protagonist, Aurelia.

Aurelia makes her return as the main protagonist. Creative Director Ajané J.K. Celestin interviewed Jackie about the character.

Ajané: Aurelia is a character I created, that you've had to come on and take over mainly. Have you had any challenges writing Aurelia?

Jackie: Honestly, a major challenge that I've had is staying in character. As a fan of the series, it can be hard to separate my own desires and reactions from that of the MC, but luckily I have help from the other members of ADS to guide me.

Ajané: What would you say is the theme of Aurelia’s personal journey?

Jackie: I would have to say it's learning to rely on others. Her whole life she has only relied on herself. It's what she realized she had to do in order to survive, but life is better and easier with friends, no?

Ajané: Do you have a personal preference of Aurelia with any particular guy?

Jackie: I have heavy bias towards Katsu for many reasons. There's so much to his character that I feel needs to be shared with others. Aurelia could seriously help him with some of it and I'm aching for it to happen.

Ajané: Is there anything in particular you’d want players to know about Aurelia?

Jackie: She's a tough cookie, but she's actually really vulnerable, too. There are a few moments where you can see behind her armor and I think it might reshape how people view her.

Ajané: What’s your favorite thing about Aurelia?

Jackie: Her sass, definitely! I think her and I would get along really well.

Thank you to Jackie for all her time. Catch Aurelia in the upcoming game, Mystic Destinies: Echoes, releasing in September 2018 for most platforms!
